This resort was designed to have golf at its core. With one of the region's  finer practice facilities, a perfect warm-up is sure to be had.  Grass tees and full length range all in the shadows of one of the resort’s red rock outcrops provides a great place for your golf experience to begin. 

The Wee Course: The only nine-hole par 3 course in southern Utah is found at Sand Hollow. Holes ranging from 50 - 120 yards are mixed in with the desert scrub. Your short game will be tested while you have fun with the creative design.

Links-style Golf in the Mountains

The Links Course: Replace the desert scrub with gorse and you might feel you have taken a trip to the isles where the grand game began. The nine-hole 3600 yard Links Course features the most expansive fairways and largest greens on the trail. This walker-friendly layout is lined with hand built stone walls and dotted with deep, nasty pot bunkers, making the routing a terrific replica experience of the way golf used to be played. To make for a most unique visit, the resort provides sets of authentic, hickory-shafted clubs for those looking for a true, old-world golf experience.

The Championship Course: The centerpiece of the resort is the championship golf course opened in 2008 which has been receiving well deserved  accolades ever since. The John Fought design is a windswept desert routing featuring impeccable conditions with slick, tricky greens and expansive red sand bunkers.  Two distinctively different nines create this highly renowned design. The front side plays out from the clubhouse and shares a fairway with the final hole on this side, providing a wide and forgiving target. It certainly gives you a sense of invincibility on the first tee shot of the day. Subtle rises and falls are incorporated into the design with the strategic bunkering of the gigantic variety framing the wild and creative greens. 

Rugged Desert Golf

The second nine is an eclectic blend of holes, featuring perhaps the most memorable 5 hole stretch on the entire Red Rock Trail.  Beginning at Hole 11, Fought routes this collection of holes along a breathtaking precipice overlooking the meandering Virgin River, providing a collection of cliff-side challenges. A sheer drop frames the left side of most of the holes, while steep red rock walls protect the right side.  The stretch is bookended by par 3's with a superb variety of par 4 holes in the middle. Hole 12 is a lengthy uphill challenge, ending with a raised green and protected by a nasty false front. The 13th is a drivable par 4 that tests your nerve, tempting you with a long narrow green tucked behind a pair of staggered bunkers, while the 14th is a rollercoaster-like downhill hole, with a fall-away green site. The final short hole is a masterpiece. Multiple tee decks wedged between rock spires present a distant green complex hanging on the ledge of the cliff and filled with multiple tiers.
