Perched high above the spectacular Canandaigua Lake, Bristol Harbor Resort is home to a wonderful Robert Trent Jones - Reese Jones layout replete with stunning lake and mountain vistas. The 5500 - 6700 yard resort course is playable for all levels of golfer with plenty of teeth to challenge the low cappers. Opened in 1972, the course is a wonderful tale of two distinctively different nines. In the shadows of the beautiful resort complex, and nearby vineyards, the front nine is a series of lengthy, windswept holes played over a rolling plateau. The rolling fairways are pinched by strategic bunkering and exposed, heavily sloped green sites. The back nine is a completely different golf experience fromt he front side featuring challenging elevation changes, tight tree-lined fairways and perplexing green sites. From the opening back side hole, a par 5 which falls dramatically from tee to green, this side is a daunting series of holes testing you througout.

Feature Holes Descriptions:
Hole Six is a severe downhill Par 4/5 that presents a devilish green, tucked behind a large pond swallowing anything hit short. The climb back up the Par 5 seventh seems endless and forces mighty strikes to navigate the combination of challenge broughton by OB left, pinched trees lined the fairways and well bunkered elevated green. Playing through a tight valley Holes 14 -17 are reminiscent of a mountain golf course. Number 14 is a snap hook dogleg left that feels like your second shot is falling off the edge of the earth with a 125 foot drop the last 130 yards to the green. Par 3 15 plays from an elevated tee ranging from 143 to 212 yards to a finely tucked side hill green leaving no room for error. No bunkers are need here for the gorp short and hazard fall-off left negate the need for any more defence on this hole.
