Bay Hill Club & Lodge:
The Course of the King.
It would be hard to imagine a golfer not familiar with the King, Arnold Palmer. One of the greatest to ever strike a balata, Palmer from Pennsylvania, fell in love with this grand Floridian resort and has made it his own place welcoming guests and the PGA tour for decades. Situated in Orlando, this Palmer rework of Dick Wilson’s original design features a collection of water holes best described as candy canes, as well as one of the most daunting finishing holes anywhere. Bay Hill combines a wonderful, challenging layout with Palmer’s grace and charm, giving guests a memorable golf experience you can relive during that week in late March watching the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Feature Holes Descriptions:
You have to think that a course home to one of the best ball strikers of all time will have holes that force you to work some magic. Bay Hill has many memorable holes, but it is the risk / reward holes that stand out as the meat of the layout. Hole 5 is a dainty Par 4 challenging your courage with a pair of massive pinching bunkers in the landing area. The famous Par 5 6th is shaped like a crescent moon and has water left the entire way to the hole no matter how courageous a rip you take. The short Par 5 16th is all about how confident you are to reach the elevated green perched behind a pond and surrounded by deep bunkers. The 18th is beast of a finish, with a blind landing area, downslope for your approach and all carry over a large pond and rock wall to the narrow kidney shaped green.
