Cog Hill #4 Dubsdread:

A Chicago Championship Tradition.

Cog Hill has been a regular stop on the PGA for years. Former home to the Western Open, various USGA Championships and most recently part of the Fed Ex Cup playoffs, this four course public facility in Lemont has a variety of experiences for players of all caliber. The club was the vision of Joe Jemsek, who wanted to create a public facility of private club quality for all to enjoy. Cog Hill #4 named Dubsdread is a course designed to host the elite player, but is enjoyable to all if played from the correct tees. The original Dick Wilson/Joe Lee design has had bunker and green renovations by Rees Jones creating both a beautifully visual layout and one with considerable teeth to it.

Feature Holes Descriptions:

The final hole on the front side plays to the #1 handicap and rightfully so. The longest and tightest hole on the course, the monster Par 5 finishes at an elevated green with plenty of slope. The 13th is a brute of a Par 4 with a relatively flat and narrow fairway that ends at a deep gulley fronting the long narrow green site. Hole 14, the shortest of the Par 3’s is ringed with deep nasty bunkers demanding a deft touch with a long iron or hybrid. The 18th hole is a strong finish for the championships played here. A double dog-leg Par 4 with a green hugging the edge of a large pond fitting challenge to a round at Dubsdread.
