Smuggler's Glen Golf Club:

A Beautiful, Rugged Challenge.

The Glen House Resort near Gananoque is a beautiful family owned complex on the Thousand Islands Parkway and St. Lawrence River. The Seal family added Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course in 2005 for public play and for guests of the resort. Located near the Ivy Lea Bridge to the US, the course is cut from the Canadian Shield and brings you a rugged, Muskoka-like feel. Featuring considerable elevation changes, exposed rock cuts and remarkable conditioning, this challenging routing is rife with hazards, beautiful vistas and plenty of great golf. A former host site for the Canadian Tour in 2012, Smuggler’s Glen is an Eastern Ontario must play that can’t be missed.

Feature Holes Descriptions:

Your greeting to the course is a forced carry over a gorp filled gorge faced by a granite wall and backed by a reachable bunker. Welcome to Smuggler's Glen. The green is reachable in 2 with a drive down the left over the granite face and a well struck long iron or hybrid. Hole 4 is a remarkable risk reward par 5, playing downhill with landing area pinched by a rock wall left and bunker right. The decision you make for your second must account for the creek that cuts down the middle of the fairway slitting the layup area. The big hitters can attack the uphill green location with a wood or hybrid for a chance at birdie or better. Number 12, aptly named The Gambler, is just that kind of hole. Drivable, this par 4 tempts to you to go for it, but also leaves an iron and severe uphill wedge as an option. The 13th is a dogleg left with lots of wow! A rock wall and terraced fairway tempt you to try to cut the corner over the bunkers for a chance at a long iron or wood setting up a well deserved eagle chance.
