Wild Dunes Resort- Harbor Course:
Water, Water Everywhere.....
Isle of Palms in Charleston is home to a wonderful family resort that is home to a pair of celebrated Tom Fazio designs, the Links and the Harbor. The Harbor course plays along the Intracoastal and island harbor. Shorter than the Links, but only playing to a par 70, the layout is a handful for golfers of any ability. Featuring some of the tightest chutes to drive your ball through, the true character is revealed by the narrow fairways, numerous lagoons and rivers to navigate around. With trouble at lurking everywhere, it is no wonder the locals call the Harbor course the "Marsh Monster."

Feature Holes Descriptions:
The opening and closing holes at the Harbor course best represent the experience. Hole One, a meandering short par 5, with water all the way down the left makes you think about club selection and execution right out of the starting blocks. Number 2 is a lengthy Par 4 teasing you with a carry over a large lake to a long narrow green in the distance. The final two holes will test everything you have left. Number 17, playing long and into the wind, needs a massive drive over the tidal marsh to set up a long approach and chance at a well deserved par with two perfect shots. Hole 18 another lengthy Par 4 tempts you with how much you want to, cut off the line by trying the sneak one down the left flirting with the marsh. Playing into the wind, these final, holes will demand all you have to get home in the right side of par.
