Bloody Point Golf Club:
A Rebirth of Great Golf on Daufuskie Island.
Located at the southern tip of Daufuskie Island, Bloody Point, a Tom Weiskopf / Jay Moorish layout recently reworked by Love Golf Design, has reopened this spring. Under the ownership of the McCarthy family and the direction of Patrick Ford, longtime island club pro, the resort features a tremendously creative routing. Holes lined with stately, mossy oaks, bordering wetlands and presenting beautiful views of Calibogue Sound and the Savannah River create a golfing experience that is both relaxing and challenging. The resort has reopened with newly built cottages and a water taxi from Savannah for the ultimate in a getaway golf experience for buddies, couples and families alike.

Description:
Holes that make you think from the time you get to the tee box until the ball falls in the hole, make some of the most memorable golf experiences. Bloody Point is home to a few of these memorable mind benders. Hole 10 is a magnificent short par four playing 230 - 310 yards. The tee shot is all about choice. Drivable to the long hitters, the raised green is a tempting target if you can navigate tidal marsh and plentiful traps. Hole 11 is a gentle dog leg left that is guarded by trees left and right. The best line of attack is down the right side, to give you a clear shot at the raised green protected by a hogs-back ridge shot of the green repelling anything but a well struck approach. Number 15 is a double dogleg Par 5 that presents numerous ways to play. With water left and protecting the layup, well struck shots are needed to navigate away from the water and large grass bunker right of the sloping green.
