Haig Point Club:
A Golf Masterpiece on Daufuskie Island.
The centrepiece of the beautiful residential enclave on Daufuskie Island is the spectacular Rees Jones layout incorporating stunning views, wetlands, woodlands and stiff challenge throughout. This unique design has 20 holes and multiple tee decks, providing players a choice of the Haig or Calibogue courses embedded on the same layout. Routed creatively through corridors of southern pines and mossy oaks, the layout demands both length and precision with deep bunkers protecting both the landing areas and green sites. The Haig Point experience begins with a delightful ferry ride from Hilton Head and opens your eyes to a charming resort complex with world class golf.

Description: Holes 8 and 17 are unique to the Calibogue Course. Both are par 3’s that Jones has perched the green sites across an inlet in the Sound. These holes are the epitome of hero golf shots. Requiring forced carries over wetlands and tidewater, the long iron or hybrid tee shot leaves little room for error with water short and massive bunkers swallowing anything hit less than perfectly. With a backdrop of Calibogue Sound and Harbortown’s trademark lighthouse across the channel these holes will amaze you with their beauty and scare you with the demands of the challenge.
