Description:
The final four holes present a fine stretch of precision golf bounded by the harbor and coastal tide waters waiting to swallow any errant shot. However 2 of these holes are just downright vicious. Sixteen is a short par 4 with a nasty pond at the end of the driving area and huge willows forcing your tee shot to be played left toward the water. Your approach requires you to carry a set of guarding bunkers and anything long will be wet. The signature Hole 17 has an island green with the backdrop of beautiful downtown Charleston and historic Fort Sumter in the distance. Playing 150 yards from the back tees, this gem is a beast with the ever changing coastal winds. Hope you play at low tide, so this knee-knocker won’t appear as too penal.
